I see the the clock go on
So slow
And yet too quick.
I see it move on.
I see her face, right in front of me.
Death she calls herself.
Pain and suffering she will bring she says.
A smile on her face I see.
As the clock moves on
The smile widens.
Death she says she will bring.
When a playful kid she see's
Pain forgotten, for a moment brief
Hers face turns from a pale picture
To a vibrant light
Smiling but shying.
Because pain she says she will bring.
The clock moves on
Dreadfully slow.
Yet too quick.
Death coming closer.
One different from the one she means
Death that is inevitable
Yet not killing anyone.
Death where both die
And yet they live on.
Pain she says she will bring.
A smile on her face
A smile on mine too.
Death i care for not
For today we smile on
I see the clock go on.
The dreadful clock
It goes on.
